Accessibility Statement
This statement applies to content published on the domain: https://from-scratch.net
From Scratch Communications (”we”) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Measures to support accessibility
We take the following measures to ensure accessibility of our website:
- Include accessibility as part of our organisation’s values.
- Include accessibility throughout our internal policies.
- Integrate accessibility into our internal and external practices.
- Provide continual accessibility training for our team members.
- Ensure content authors have accessibility knowledge and skills.
- Include people with disabilities in our design and development team.
- Include accessibility as a requirement for all web content. Newly created content must meet WCAG 2.1 AA and should meet AAA as feasible.
- Assign clear accessibility goals and responsibilities.
- Usability test with participants with disabilities.
On our website you should be able to:
- zoom up to 200% without problems
- navigate all of the website using just a keyboard
- navigate most of the website using a modern screen reader and speech recognition software
This website is designed to comply with the technical standard for websites and mobile apps, EN 301 549 v.3.2.1. This closely follows level ‘AA’ of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. The document defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. The From Scratch Communications website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Additional accessibility considerations
Although our goal is WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, we have also applied some Level AAA.
